I jump into this design with a desire to honor the interesting and accomplished alumni who have passed through Dr. Telch's clinical psychology program.

This gives me the opportunity for a deep dive into CSS grid. I play with some subtle overlap features, a super-power of grid, and stumble upon grid-areas as a wonderful way to code to a logical, multi-cell area, yielding html with the twin virtues of structural invariance and layout flexibility.

I leverage media queries to change the underlying grid dimensions and redefine how grid areas responsively map onto the new grid to achieve visually dramatic differences in presentation across scale.
